Search Tips

Query Box:
- Select or for the encoding of Chinese characters in the search results.
- If Chinese keywords are inputted, select or for the encoding of the input Chinese characters.
- Select Bitmap or Text for the display format of Chinese characters in the search results. Bitmap display format will be useful in those browers which cannot handle traditional or simplified Chinese.
- Select HK Database, China Database or both to search for the input keywords. Please refer Introduction for the details about the databases.
Search Result:
- Press or to change the encoding of displayed Chinese characters.
- Press or to change the display format of displayed Chinese characters.
  Press or for audio output of the Chinese characters in Mandarin or Cantonese.

All input English characters other than "a"-"z", "A"-"Z" and <SPACE> will be discarded.
The search result will be displayed directly for exact match of input. For example:

    memory
```
To find more items related to memory, a partial string should be used. For example:
```
    memor
```
will lead to
```
    memory, MOS memory, associative memory, ... 
```
A list of choices will be given for partially matched terms.
Multiple word search are supported. For example:
```
    assoc mem
```
will lead to
```
    associative memory
```
The maximum number of matched items is limited to 20. You should narrow the search result by providing adequate characters concerning the item you want to search.
